Springville motorcycle-pickup truck collision hospitalizes one

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office reported a motorcycle-pickup truck collision that happened around 7:20 a.m. last Thursday, June 16. The incident occurred along Highway 151 at Springville Road in Springville, Iowa and resulted in the hospitalization of one individual.

According to preliminary investigations, 58-year-old Sheboygan, Wisconsin resident Timothy Temby was riding west along Highway 151 when a pickup truck heading north pulled in front of him at the intersection, causing a collision. The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 38-year-old Lisbon, Iowa resident Kenneth Reed. Temby, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to a nearby hospital for the treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries while Reed, who was wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident, was not harmed. Reed was given a citation for failure to yield.
