Turtle Lake man succumbs to injuries after motorcycle accident

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin has reported that 36-year-old Turtle Lake resident Michael Hagman, who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in the 1700 block of County Road T in the Town of Beaver earlier this month, succumbed to his injuries on Friday, May 20.

According to preliminary investigations, Hagman had been driving his motorcycle north on County Road T when the accident happened. Due to a long skid mark seen at the scene of the accident, police investigators surmised that Hagman was trying to break before the crash occurred, although they have yet to determine whether other motorists on the road at the time may have been involved. Ultimately, investigators are still trying to determine the underlying cause of this fatal accident.

Hagman’s death is the fourth traffic accident fatality in Polk County this year, as of May 2016.
