Maiden Rock motorcycle accident kills woman

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has reported that 58-year-old Minneapolis resident Diane Wick was killed in a two-motorcycle accident on Saturday, September 20 on CTH UU at 100th Avenue in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin.

Wick had been operating a 2007 Honda Shadow southbound along the highway when she veered off the roadway. She overcorrected a failed negotiated curve, and once she got back on the road she was hit by a southbound motorcycle driven by 66-year-old Savage, Minnesota resident David Friestad.

Wick was declared dead at the scene of the accident by the Pierce County medical examiner. Friestad, on the other hand, was transported to the Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, Minnesota.
