Milwaukee resident charged with homicide after car wreck

Thirty-three-year-old Milwaukee, Wisconsin resident Mario Alexander killed a motorcyclists by hitting her with his car, and was recently charged with one count of homicide by use of a vehicle with a detectable amount of controlled substance.

According to the police, Alexander was turning his Chevy Cobalt left onto W. Nash Street at 11th Street from Atkinson Avenue last June 30 when he hit Vinencia Dawson’s motorcycle.

The victim was declared dead on the spot due to blunt force trauma experienced in the motorcycle accident.

The Milwaukee man was arrested and taken to Wisconsin Heart Hospital to have his blood tested for the presence of substances shortly after the incident. The test revealed traces of THC in his system.
