Two injured in Oneida motorcycle accident

A motorcycle accident in Oneida County, Wisconsin resulted in two men sustaining injuries. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 51 near County K in the Town of Cassian, west of Rhinelander, shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 13, when a southbound motorcycle collided with another motorcycle as the first bike was trying to make a left turn, a press release from the Wisconsin State Patrol stated.

The 61-year-old driver did not sustain any major injuries while the other driver, a 62-year-old man, incurred life-threatening wounds and was airlifted to Wausau Aspirus Hospital.

Among the agencies that assisted in the incident were the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, the Oneida County Ambulance, Spirit Air 2, the Town of Cassian Fire Department, and the Town of Nokomis First Responders.
