A motorcyclist was reportedly killed after his motorcycle crashed on Hazelwood Drive the morning of July 9.

According to reports from Oshkosh Police, the accident happened in the 2600 block when the 38-year-old motorcyclist slammed into a light pole after he lost control of his motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital and died later due to severe injuries he sustained from the crash.

Lieutenant Don Wilson said it was raining when the accident occurred and thinks that the storm may have contributed in the crash. Investigations are still ongoing however, authorities said.
