Illinois man pleads guilty to killing Wisconsin motorcyclist

A man from Round Lake Beach, Illinois pleaded guilty earlier this week to fatally striking a motorcyclist while he was under the influence of alcohol. The deadly accident occurred in Lake County, Illinois last July.

According to the Lake County Sun-Times, the man had been watching a soccer game and was leaving the field when he hit a 56 year-old motorcyclist from Lake Geneva. The rider was rushed to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Authorities found empty beer cans and a bottle of tequila in his vehicle. A breathalyzer test revealed his blood alcohol level to be three times over the legal limit. He has been charged with aggravated DUI resulting in death and two counts of aggravated DUI.
