An Abilene, TX man is fighting for his life after his motorcycle malfunctioned causing him to sustain life-threatening injuries.

The motorcycle accident occurred on Friday night around 8:00 p.m. on Loop 322 in Abilene. The motorcyclist was traveling north on the road when the front wheel of his motorcycle became loose, causing the man to lose control of the bike.

The 41-year-old man was not wearing a helmet when he became airborne, and as a result suffered serious head injuries. He was transported to the Hendrick Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.
