Suzuki announces motorcycle recall

Suzuki has announced a national recall of several models of their 2012 scooters and motorcycles.

The scooters and motorcycles affected by the recall were manufactured before December 17, 2011. The models include AN400, AN650, and DL650. These models were all recalled due to a malfunctioning brake light switch.

The brake light switches may cause the lights to not turn on, even when the motorcyclist is trying to brake. This could lead to an elevated risk for accidents, due to the trailing car being unable to see that the motorcycle is, in fact, stopped. Suzuki also made the announcement that they will fix the problem at any of their authorized locations.
