Motorcyclist injured in circus accident

A Shrine Circus performer was critically injured over the weekend in Missouri after being involved in a motorcycle accident.

The 20-year-old motorcyclist was attempting to perform an elaborate jump for the crowd when he struck a wire in the air. He was thrown roughly 25 feet before he hit the ground. After he landed on solid ground, his injuries were extensive and severe.

The young man suffered a broken shoulder, leg, wrist, and elbow. He was lucky to have not sustained any injuries to his spinal cord or his brain. Doctors at a local  hospital have already performed several surgeries on the man, and he is expected to make a complete recovery.
