Appeal Denied in Fatal Car-Motorcycle Crash Case

In Wisconsin, a convicted man’s appeal for a new trial in a fatal drunk driving case was denied.

The driver, Jerrad C. O’Donnell, was convicted in 2007 of homicide and causing injury by drunk driving. According to police and a crash reconstruction expert, O’Donnell was driving drunk when he veered into oncoming traffic, hitting and killing 2 motorcyclists. A third motorcyclist was severely injured in the crash. The injured motorcyclist’s eyewitness account of the crash and the physical evidence led to O’Donnell’s conviction. He is now serving a 14-year prison sentence.
