Wisconsin Dells Man Killed in Sauk Co. Motorcycle Crash

A Dells man was killed early Sunday in a Wisconsin motorcycle accident, according to a Sauk County Sheriff’s Department Report.

Lieutenant Terry Spencer says deputies and rescue crews were called to a motorcycle accident on Hillside Drive, just south of the village of Lake Delton, shortly after midnight Sunday. Deputies found a motorcycle, driven by 48 year-old Curt D. Dollar, had left the roadway and struck a tree. There was no other rider and no other vehicle involved in the accident, Spencer said in a press release.

Dollar was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered massive head injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant Sauk County Coroner Mary Shields.

Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the accident, according to Spencer.
