Man injured in crash with van

A 47-year-old man was seriously injured last week when his motorcycle collided with a van in LaFayette, Wis., authorities said. He was westbound on the roadway when an eastbound van turned in front of him, police said. The crash occurred in plain view of a state trooper, and the motorcyclist was taken to Luther Hospital.

Police said the motorcyclist slid after the crash. The left front wheel of the van was damaged, reports say. Police cited the van driver for failure to yield, but authorities found no evidence that alcohol was involved in the accident.
