Man injured in head-on collision

A 26-year-old motorcyclist was injured in a crash just after midnight Thursday near the Village of Highland, Wis., authorities said. He was taken to the hospital by helicopter for serious injuries, police said. A 19-year-old man crossed the center line with his car, authorities said, and hit the motorcycle head-on.

The driver of the car was wearing his seat belt and was not injured in the accident. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Police do not suspect alcohol to be a factor in the accident.
