One dead, one injured in Wisconsin motorcycle accident

A woman lost her life and a man sustained non-life-threatening injuries during a motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 25. The accident occurred on County Truck Highway F in St. Croix County, Wisconsin.

According to preliminary investigations made by the St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Hastings, Minnesota resident Joshua Sykora was driving the motorcycle when the bike left the roadway, went into a ditch, and flipped over. Sykora sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. His passenger, 38-year-old Prescott, Wisconsin resident Brooke Baker, was declared dead at the scene of the accident. Further investigation showed that alcohol may have proved a contributing factor in the crash.

The attorneys at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. are deeply saddened to hear that yet another tragedy has taken a life on Wisconsin roads. Our thoughts and condolences are with the family and friends of the victims in this accident as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
