A 50-year-old New York motorcyclist died after his motorcycle was struck by a motor vehicle in Coral Springs.

The motorcycle accident took place on a Friday night when the motorcyclist and his 43-year-old passenger were traveling south on a roadway. An 83-year-old woman operating a motor vehicle was attempting to turn south when she struck the motorcycle. Both the motorcyclist and his passenger were thrown from the bike.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman was transported to a local hospital, and is listed in serious condition. The driver of the motor vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident. An investigation into the accident is currently underway.
